An Assortment of fresh fruits and vegetables that is always changing based on what is freshest and in season. This box contains primarily local produce but will contain some products not grown locally as well (such as oranges, bananas ect.) The box changes daily to provide what is freshest and will keep meals fun as you try new and exciting ways to use fruits and vegetables you may not have thought of puchasing yourself. 

This Product is available as a one off purchase or as a subscription. If you choose subscription you can choose the frequency of the deliveries, you can also pause or cancel your subscription at any time by logging into your account, or simply send us an email at niagarafreshmarket@gmail.com.

Regular - Fresh picked, high quality produce

Imperfect - Some imperfections (scarring, misshapen, smaller or larger than normal, blemishes, or be getting overripe), therefore you will receive more fruit and veggies for the same price - great for the budget and when mixing into a dish.

What a wonderful selection this week!

Came a week late and half the produce was wilted, moldy or ready to expire.

Noticed a payment was taken out of my bank on the day it should have, but my order never came the following day which it usually does so I emailed and got a quick response from someone who said they tried to take the payment out on the Thursday which is not when the payment ever comes out, and when the system retried the payment on the proper date, it came out, but was too late for my original delivery date. Quick response email from a kind representative offered to have it delivered the following day from my complaint email and so I agreed to that date and refused the following Saturday which was her second suggestion.
I never received a response, nor did I receive anything that Tuesday on top of not receiving anything I was charged for on my original continuous delivery day.

I emailed yet again on Wednesday and received no response again and still have not to this moment two weeks later received any response from anyone,
Then randomly received the box I was charged for a week earlier on the Saturday that I had refused in the quick response email. It was so tethered, and the produce was almost 90% ready to go in the compost that we actually think they held onto that box from the week before and just delivered it with rotting fruit in it.

So this showed up this past Saturday and we end up getting our original box and charged again that same week and I still have not had any contact back from a staff member.

I have requested my full money back from the order that was charged and never delivered on time or at least a discount or added points and it’s now been two full weeks since they took the payment out for the non-delivered box and no one has contacted me back besides that initial quick response email.

I’ve decided to cancel my subscription and go with odd bunch because at least I get a discount for seconds and not charged a price for something that doesn’t show up or is completely rotten when I get it.

I’m giving a two star because the initial quick response lady from that email was very kind and I’ve been a customer for a while now and I’ve never had this issue but as of right now it’s a two out of five star

I’ve been ordering the premade vegetable/fruit boxes for some time now and love the variety it comes with!

Love the variety and content of the box! Although I did opt for the “imperfections” box, I happened to receive some product that was already molding/rotting.

Amount has Shrunk Majorly

We used to get two large boxes, sometimes three if the items were bulky enough. 22+ full size items, i.e. a full bag of apples, a whole cabbage, a full quart of berries etc. It was enough for 10-14 days for me and my husband plus our five guinea pigs and we often shared with neighbours. And usually included all the staples, i.e. potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, onions, etc.

The last 50.00 box was ONE BOX, half the depth as usual. I keep the boxes, so I know. And even though we did NOT choose the imperfect option, some things were still a bit moldy. It was enough to snack on, and make a few meals. That's it. We were a bit shocked and very disappointed. Because we've been ordering on and off for years.

We've decided to give up on produce boxes. Niagara Fresh was the best one out there, and now it's a fraction of what it was.
